Not sure what to say?

I've known Ida since she moved to Evergreen and I've been here 9 years. She was so sweet and lovely...inside and out...She will be greatly missed...and never forgotten...Love Ann J

Ina was a outstanding friend. I met Ina at the Lemont Senior Center. Ina always was dressed to the 10's. I enjoyed joyed her visits I will miss you truly!

Sue and Paul, I am very sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies are extended to you both and the family and freinds of Ina. I use to enjoy her conversations at the VFW and I am sure she will be missed by many. May God bless her .

I will miss your Ma and my late night phone calls. I know she is happy being with your Dad again in Heaven. Boy, the Gloria Dei congregation is bigger in
Heaven than on earth. She was a wonderful friend whom I plan on seeing again when I join the Gloria Dei group in Heaven. Susie, God be with you and Paul.
We have only fond memories of Ina and Joe. They were truly good Christian people.
Sincerely
Mike and Chris Buzzelli

Ina's Obituary

Ina Mae Nathan

July 27, 1935 – March 5, 2026

Devoted wife of the late Joseph Nathan for 37 years.  Loving mother of Susan Nathan-Butt (Paul).

Ina was an active member of Gloria Dei Evangelical Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Chicago for over 40 years.  She served as Room Mother for Susan’s kindergarten class where she undoubtedly was the first to have created graduation outfits for the children before it became popular.  She also was a choir member and very influential in the Parent Teacher League (PTL). Upon moving to Lemont in 2006 with Susan and Paul, she became a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church (LCMS).  She enjoyed participating in the Senior group events at the Township center and made lots of new friends.

By the simple gift from a neighbor, she sparked a passion for collecting clocks; over 300 at last count.  She had miniatures from Susan’s travels abroad, including Mexico, England, Germany, Netherlands and Japan.  The ironic thing about this is that she was never on time! In 2022, she moved to Evergreen Senior Living in Orland Park.  While it was a tremendous change for all of us, she adjusted very well and again made wonderful relationships with both residents and staff.

While she will be missed beyond words, she made the world brighter for many.
