Irene Elizabeth " Katie" Chapman, 70 of Belfry, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Katie was born on November 19, 1954, in Pike County, KY, the daughter of the late Henry Porter and Pauline Sullivan Porter. Katie was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Chapman; her son, Bruce Chapman Jr., her grandson, Brian "Little Bear" Hatfield; her son-in-law, Brian " Big Bear" Hatfield; her sister, Billy Stanley; her brothers, Henry Porter Jr., Charles Sullivan, Ed Sullivan and Woody Sullivan. Katie was a homemaker and member of the McVeigh Pentecostal Church.Survivors include her daughters, Freda (Mark) Lipps of Belfry, KY, and Lisa Hatfield of Catlettsburg, KY; her grandchildren, Austin Hatfield, Michail (Kelly) Woodward, Angela (Kyler) Woodward, Joseph Woodward Jr., Brendan Chapman, Alyssa Chapman, Shyia Little and Dakota Bailey; her great-grandchildren, Luka Woodward, Olive Woodward, Serenity Woodward and Azaria Chapman; her siblings, Earl (Gloria) Adkins and Stella Hamby. Katie also leaves behind a host of other loving family members and friends. Funeral services for Katie will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home chapel, beginning at 1 PM with Rev. Dwayne Chapman and Pastor Joseph Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY with Austin Hatfield, Michail Woodward, Joe Tackett, Marcus Finley, Mark Lipps and Richard Chapman serving as pallbearers. Luka Woodward will be an honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6-9 PM, with special services beginning at 7 PM. R.E.
