Not sure what to say?

Was just talking about Iris this week (2025) and her wonderful music at church for our weddings and funeral for dad and mom. Long lasting memories Thank you ,God, for sending her to us!

Greetings, Unfortunately, I could not attend the funeral services for Iris. She has been in my thoughts, and certainly in our prayers here at the parish. Iris was always full of life and joy. This was truly reflected in her love for music. We can only imagine all the people she was all to spiritual touch through her ministry. May she be at peace and now singing with all the angels in heaven. Peace to all her family and friends, Fr. Larry Lisowski. Immaculate Conception and St. Joseph...

Iris Zahara was my piano teacher through all of high school, and she had such a significant impact on me. 20+ years later, I still sit at the piano and play to relax sometimes. I'm eternally grateful for the education she gave me and the light she was in my life.

Iris we have always loved and enjoyed your amazing talents. The IJP Parish was blessed to have had you. Have missed your hugs!

I was a child and young teen piano student with Mrs Zahara in the sixties, and as a teenager, sang in the chorus in more than one of the IJP musicals she directed. She inspired in me the possibility of a life in music and the arts, and I've carried her sense of joy in the work with me all these years. Deep condolences from our family to yours.

So many great memories of Iris and how she positively affected innumerable people thru her music and her kindness - especially in times of trouble. She will be remembered with gratitude and fondness. God comfort you all. May Eternal Rest grant unto her O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest in peace. Amen.

So thankful to Iris for sharing her amazing talents, mentorship, instruction, and inspiration with all of us in our family in our piano studies with her over the years. Her musical gifts live on in all of us! Thoughts and prayers for her family. (Photo: Sons Justin and Brandon Katz and friend John Heim, with Iris after piano recital, 1992).

I fondly remember playing in Bell Choir with John Loesch led by Dr. Zahara. She brought a beautiful spirit and soul to IJP through all the years I attended the school and parish. Gone but certainly not forgotten, Rest In Peace and know the immense mark you made on a community!
