Isabel Bonifacio "Boni" Castillo

Isabel Bonifacio Castillo, known to all as Boni, or El Boni, was born on November 19, 1937, to Nicolas and Nestora Castillo. He passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025.  

Boni worked as a farm hand and prided himself on working smarter and not harder. He was a man that loved his trucks, music and beer. He was married to his wife, Dolores (Lola) until she passed away in 1996. He made friends wherever he went throughout his life, even to his final days in the nursing home.

Boni is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Dominga, Regina and Epifania; his brothers, Julian and Nick; his wife; his son, Leonard; his grandson, Andy; and his great-grandchild, Francis.

He is survived by his brother, Andy; his son, Nick; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and his many nephews and nieces that loved him dearly.

A Celebration of Boni’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Deacon Anastacio Perez, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
