Isabel's Obituary

Isabel Ortiz Sanchez, 72, of Hartford, CT passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at home. Isabel was born in Humacao, P.R. and was the daughter of the late Nazario and Librada (Sanchez) Ortiz.  Isabel loved to be surrounded by her grandkids, she was the life of the party.  She will be remembered by her great cooking and for hosting the best Holiday parties.  

Isabel is survived by her three sons Edwin Rodriguez of Portland, CT., William Rodriguez of Meriden, CT and Misael Centeno of East Hartford, CT., her three daughters Iris V. Rodriguez of Tampa, FL., Lili Rodriguez and Madeline Centeno both of Hartford, CT., her life partner Arcadio Rosa of Hartford, CT., her eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Isabel was predeceased by her son Jimmy Centeno, her brothers Lino Ortiz, Nazario Ortiz Jr.  and her sisters Rosa Cruz, Carmen Ortiz, Maria Ortiz, and Amparo Ortiz.

Funeral rites for Isabel will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church/Maria Reina De La Paz Parish, 494 New Britain Ave., Hartford, CT. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
