J.C. Warner, 83, widower of Nancy Coker Warner, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born February 19, 1934 in Washington County he was the son of the late Oscar C. and Lula Moore Warner. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and a retired Farmer and Mercer County School Bus Driver. He was a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church. Mr. Warner was an avid U.K. fan, and enjoyed traveling and taking care of cattle.
Survivors include two children: John (Sheri) Warner and Lynne (Logan) Lynn both of Harrodsburg; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Joyce Murray. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Warner, his grand-daughter, Emma Katherine Lynn and his brother, Holly Warner.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with John Warner, Ayden Warner, Spencer Warner, Logan Lynn II, David J.C. Lynn, Lee Baker, Ashton Dixon and Isaac Baker serving as pallbearers and April Dixon, Taylor Dixon, Lacey Dixon, Lyndsey Baker, Lesley Baker, Maddison Baker and Brooklyn Baker serving as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
