I was Jacks girlfriend back in the mid 1970s. We enjoyed Western Swing dancing, and even took Disco dancing lessons together. I remember cross-country skiing trips, and getting lost in a sudden snow storm while skiing on Jenny Lake in Jackson Hole. I took a lot of enjoyable camping and fishing trips with Jack. Hey Jack...Many years since we talked..We lost touch when you moved to Phoenix, but you were a good friend and I remember some great times...Sitting around listening to music, going to blues concerts, cruising the main drag and fishing with you and your Dad..Hope to see you on the flip side Brother...

Jack's Obituary

Jack Andrew Podbevsek, “Noses Malone” 69, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Paradise Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

He was born on September 5, 1949 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the son of Jack G. and Arlene Smith Podbevsek.

Jack attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1967 graduate of the Rock Springs High School. He also attended the University of Wyoming and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.

He was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War.

Jack was employed at McCurtain Motors for many years and was the top salesman in Southwestern Wyoming for many years. He later worked for Humana as an insurance salesman and retired in 2018.

His interests included spending time with his family.

Survivors include two sisters Lisa Andicoechea and husband Jose and Laurie Gray and husband Delbert all of Rock Springs; his nieces Kilji Gutierez and Nikole Andicoechea; nephews Joshua Andicoechea and Leontra Gray; great-nieces and nephews Oaklon, Alexos, Jayleigh and Jace.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Tristan Jack Gray.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of Jack’s life will be conducted at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the First Congregational Church UCC, 1275 Adams Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Inurnment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
