Jack retired with 30 years of service with Commonwealth Life Ins., now known as TransAmerica Ins. Agency. He was Fire Chief for the Belfry Fire Department from July 1,1976 till 1992. He was a certified fire fighter on August 1, 1983. He served as Fire Chief, president, vice president and treasurer during his 16 years of courageous, dedicated and selfless service to the Belfry and surrounding communities.

The love he provided me with was endless until his last breath. So much to be said and can be said about and to honor him. My best friend. Always ready to help anyone in need. He never knew a stranger. Jack was many things to many people. He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Friend to many. He was a member of Mayflower Unity Baptist Church for 25 years. He loved our church family. He loved singing. I know he will be singing the Redemption song, and the angels will have to step back. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. Until we meet again. I'll always love you.

Jack's visitation will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6 - 9 PM in the R. E.
