Dear uncle, cousin and friend.
Susan and Jack married in 1965 at Meadowbrook Country Club. Jack was a graduate of Ladue High School in 1956, where he played varsity golf, baseball, and basketball. He is a Washington University graduate. After graduation, Jack served his country as a Captain in the United States Army Signal Corps. Jack was in the commercial real estate business for many years. His work ethic and dedication were admirable. Jack was a fun-loving man who loved to make everyone around him laugh. He was a jokester with a dry sense of humor.
Jack’s love for sports was unmatched. Jack loved golf from a very early age and was an avid golfer his entire life. He was on the golf team at Washington University and frequented the course at Meadowbrook with his wife later in life. Jack coached his son’s baseball and basketball teams, and he enjoyed watching Cardinals Baseball. Jack owned and raced horses for many years as well, and he enjoyed playing poker and bridge every week with friends.
Jack loved many things, but nothing compared to the love and admiration he had for his beautiful family. Jack was also very close with his brother, Michael. What brought Jack the utmost joy was watching his family do the things they love. Jack never missed any of his children or grandchildren’s sporting or extracurricular activities and was his family’s biggest supporter. He was the most selfless man and always put his family before himself.
To know him was to truly love him, and he will be missed by all who knew him. May his memory forever be a blessing.
