James's Obituary

James V. Barry Jr., age 54 a life long resident of Bridgeport died suddenly on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital . He was the widower of Mary A. Heavey Barry. Born in Bridgeport on November 16, 1957 he was the son of the late James V. Barry Sr. and Fern Turcotte Barry. Jim was the owner of Graphics Unlimited for over 30 years and also worked as a printer for Trumbull Printing for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 2nd degree Night and was very active in the Special Olympics where his son Jimmy competes. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by son James D. Barry of Bridgeport , Step-sons; Jeffery M. Long and his wife Veronica of Shelton and Raymond Long of Bridgeport . Two sisters; Linda Barry of Thomaston and Barbara Wilchinski and her husband William of Oxford. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Amber Long-Jeffrey, Alyssa Long-Jeffrey, Emma Joan Long, Padraic J. Long, Aidyn Long, Gavin Long, and Jack Long and several nieces and nephews. The hours of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street , Stratford . Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
