My cousin, my friend! Closest in age to me, we had a blast playing together when we were young. As adults our outings were always fun filled. If you wanted to know the history of anything just call Jimmy, memory like a steel trap! I was so proud to introduce you to my friends. After Jim and Mary Ellen passed, I always had a seat for you at my Thanksgiving table. I'm happy to have spent your birthday with you this year. Love you Jimmy, I'll really miss you.

Benson, James Matthew “Jim”, baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Saturday, October 25, 2025 in St. Louis, Missouri. Our beloved Jim passed away with immense love in his heart for all friends and family. He was a loving father of James (fiancée Mackenzie Renee Feathers) Benson; loving son of the late James and Mary Ellen Benson; dearest brother of Matthew Benson; dear uncle of Makayla Benson; our dear nephew, cousin and friend of many.

Jim was born in St. Louis, Missouri on the 28th of September 1963. He was raised in the North County region of St. Louis Missouri, where he’d eventually spend the majority of his adult life. He was a 2nd generation member of The Ancient Order of Hibernians and active member of the Missouri Elks Association. Most importantly, he lived a life filled with good times and even better people.
