James Larry Bevins

James Larry Bevins, 82, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the Tug Valley Regional Medical Center.He was born February 28, 1937, at Paintsville, KY, the son of the late Farest and Laura Wright Bevins. He was the husband of the late Edyth Bevins and they had shared 53 years of marriage together. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Pam Hanson and Patty Schmitz.He served in the United States Army and retired from Crowd Transport/Hayes Construction. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His favorite things were GSN, Family Feud, University of Kentucky Basketball and his Harley.He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Francis (Steve Francis); three grandchildren, Jaimie McPeek (Jonboy McPeek), Brooke Crigger (Corey Crigger) and Josh Francis (Lauren Francis); three great grandchildren, Kyla Curry, Kyndall McPeek and Cora Crigger; two brothers, Carl Bevins (Lorell Bevins) and Paul Bevins (Grace Bevins). He is also survived by two daughters, Laurie Laursen (Dale Laursen) and Debra Raden and their children and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 26th after 6 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel, Funeral services will be held at 7 PM with Roger Williamson officiating. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry is serving the Bevins family.
