Obituary

James's Obituary

James“Jimmy” Paul Bindel, 52, of Wichita Falls, passed peacefully, though too early, in the morning of December 11, 2025.  He was born on September 15, 1973 in Englewood, Colorado.

Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to visitation on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 9:00 am until 10:00, with funereal services immediately following at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Wichita Falls.

In his youth, Jimmy moved around with his nomadic family all throughout the southern United States.  Early on, he came to appreciate the high-speed thrill of motorcycle racing while living in Texas and Arizona.  Later on, while living in south Texas, he turned to skateboarding to satisfy his affection for adrenaline.  Around that time, he also began what would become a life-long musical journey.  He started playing guitar and then bass guitar.  After moving to south Florida and after graduating from Piper High School in Sunrise, Florida, he toured with his band Hudson around the United States for months. He spent the rest of his life writing, performing and surrounded by music.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Bindel; and his mother, Rebecca “Becky” Bindel.

Jimmy is survived by and will be sorely missed by his father, James; his stepmother Susan; his sisters, Jessica, Jennifer and Jodi; his brothers, Johnathan and Tony; and his nieces Maddilyn, Lydia, Elizabeth, Mazden, Darcy, and Harper; his nephews Kaleb, Theron and Wilder as well as the rest of his extended family and all of the beautiful friends and acquaintances he made throughout his adventures in this life.  The world became deeper and more beautiful by his existence within it.

Jimmy was one-of-a-kind, and everyone who got to know him would agree.  He will be remembered for his confidence, honesty, radical uniqueness and loving kindness.  This world is a tough place for those born with such a tender loving spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Jimmy's name to Hospice of Wichita Falls, or The Center.
