James "Chuckie"'s Obituary
James Evans Bandy Jr. "Chuckie", 59, of Roanoke, Virginia departed this life on on Sunday, November 9, 2014. He was born in Beckley, WV to the late James E. Bandy Sr. and Josephine Bandy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Ellis and Ella Mae Bandy; brother, Jimmie (Tony) Shannon, sister, Diane Bandy and uncle, Eugene Bandy.James was educated in the Beckley, WV Public School System. He served and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. James was a helper and assisted so many people. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, all you needed to do was to call and ask. He will truly be missed by all who met and knew him. God bless you James.He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Trina M. Bandy; sons, Marc Bandy; of Ohio, James E. Bandy Ill, of Roanoke; daughter, Kesha (Tariq) Rashed, of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, James E. Bandy IV, of Charlotte NC, Aries Rahsheed, of Long Island NY, Keely Bandy, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Jayla Bandy, of Blacksburg, VA, Carsyn Yates, of Roanoke, VA; brothers, Raymond (Carla) Mitchell, of Arkansas, Lamont (Catherine) Mitchell, of Charleston WV; sisters, Linda Knox, of Myrtle Beach SC, Angelia (William) Nichols and Sonja Mitchell, of Charleston WV; special aunt, Dortha (Rene) Dennis, of Philadelphia PA; uncles, Cephas (Frances) Bandy, of Indianapolis, IN, James Ellis (Janice) Bandy Jr., of Marietta, CA; cousin, Herbert Simpson; sister-in-law, Deirdre Perry, of Roanoke; brother-in-law, Raymond G. Perry Jr,, of York, PA. Friends Ronald Parker, Claude Wimbush, Robert Coltraine and a host of nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Charles Whitfield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park, Roanoke, VA.
