James's Obituary
James Thomas Copeland Jr.,36, of Lake Kennedy Drive went to be with the Lord on Oct. 29, 2015. He was born to Betty L. Council and the late James T. Copeland, Sr. on February 10, 1979. He was predeceased by his late grandparents James and Lillie Mae Copeland. Tee graduated from Nansemond River High School and also served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a former member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church before relocating to Richmond, VA. He later joined Balm of Gilead.Left to cherish his memories is his mother Betty L. Council, two daughters, T'asia Copeland and Alexis Copeland of Suffolk, Va. one son, Taj Copeland and one daughter, Inara Copeland of Richmond, VA., his grandparents William and Ruth Council, his only sister Sherita Copeland, two nephews Jaylen and Jabron Copeland, and one niece Joiden Copeland, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 12 noon a Oak Grove Baptist Church where Dr. Anthony Copeland will be officiating. The family is requesting privacy after the service.
