Not sure what to say?

I worked at WFCC from 1988-2004. In my interactions with Jimmy, he was always soft-spoken, ready to help when asked, and able to fix any piece of grounds equipment. I was proud to know him and know that he will be missed by many. Joyce, may God comfort you and your family during your time of grief.

I worked with Jimmy at WFCC from 1995 to 1998 in my first job out of college. We shared many a story and some great times in those 3 years. He never missed a day of work and always had a great demeanor about him. He was always the first one there every day and could fix anything. A great man! Prayers to his family.

John 3:16

James's Obituary

James "Jimmy" Roy Day, born April 3, 1945, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Roy and Mary Lee Day, entered eternal rest surrounded by love, held in the hearts of those who cherished him deeply.

He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Joyce Lee Day, whom he cherished and leaves behind.Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Buddy, June, Harry, Debbie, and Doris, whom he now reunites with in rest.

He is survived by his brothers Billy, Mike, Bobby, and Dennis, and his sister Mary. His greatest pride and joy was his family, especially his children: his daughter Tina, with eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; his daughter Dina, with three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his son Matthew, with two grandchildren; son Eddie with two grandchildren and 2 two great-grandchildren; his daughter Kim, with three grandchildren; and his daughter Brandy, with three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. His legacy of love lives on through every generation.Jimmy began working at Wichita Falls Country Club at just 16 years old, a place that became his second home for most of his life. After 50 years of faithful and dedicated service, he retired at the age of 65, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and pride in all that he did. His work ethic and steady presence earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Jimmy was known for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and deep compassion for others. He had a quiet way about him for he was never loud, always sincere and his presence brought comfort to those around him. He found joy in life's simple pleasures: bird watching, working in his yard, loving his dogs Tootie and Annabelle, watching SpongeBob SquarePants and old Westerns, and trying his luck playing the lottery.Above all else, Jimmy especially loved spending time with his loved ones, whom he treasured beyond measure. He had a heart of gold, filled with unconditional love for his family and friends. If you knew Jimmy, you knew a fine, well-respected gentleman whose kindness, humility, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone he met.He will be deeply and profoundly missed, more than words can express, by all who were blessed to know and love him. We take comfort in God's promise:

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."- 2 Corinthians 5:8"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."- Revelation 21:4
