Cindy and family. Just wanted you to know that the Gallant team toasted to Jim's legacy today in honor of the anniversary of his passing. Though it's been 7 years, he has not been forgotten! We hope that you are all well.

James's Obituary

James R. Eigenschenk, of Crystal Lake, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the age of 61. He was born February 21, 1954 in Anaheim, CA. After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona, California, he was employed with Mobil Oil for 26 years as a Civil Engineer. Following his career with Mobil, he worked for Kohl’s Headquarters for 8 years and finally took on the task of being “GrampE.” James will be fondly remembered for his quirky jokes, his love of wines, but mostly being a dedicated father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. James will be dearly missed by his children, Andrew Eigenschenk, Jenny Adair, Nicholas (Valerie) Eigenschenk, Christopher James Eigenschenk, Cory Eigenschenk; his cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Rebecca, Levi, and Oliver; sister, Gail (Paul) Schwartz; nieces and nephews; and loving companion, Cindy Rubin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Alison. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, December 3, at 6:00 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ memory may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association at www.abta.org
