I knew James most of my life he was kin to my family and friends he was funny and always worked hard at his car lot he was very sweet and a very nice looking man so sorry for your loss to all of your kids and grandkids and Irene may he rest in peace. He was a really good friend to my brother Alvin Galgani .

I just want to say, I knew James as a teenager & thought he was a very handsome, smart, fun loving guy. He was worth knowing.

We send our love and prayers to James wife Irene and all her family. James will be missed by all who knew him.
May the Lord give you strength in this time of need. Your friends Alvin and Pam

This man was SO amazing! Im so sorry! Youre lucky to have had him in your lives. Ill never forget his spot in the kitchen watching the mini TV and being light hearted and funny and amazing!! Love my Elmore family!

Even though I personally never had the privilege of meeting Mr. James E. Elmore I get to see on a weekly basis what his influence left behind in his daughter, Carla. She is a loving and supportive mother to her beautiful three daughters, a parenting style that I can attribute to her father and mother. May Mr. Elmore rest in peace safely in God's memory. "He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him." (Luke 20:38)

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE ,FOR WE KNOW ,YOUR IN GOOD HANDS ..AND DEAR LORD , PLEASE BE WITH THIS FAMILY , PRAYERS ...TO ALL ..

James's Obituary

James E. Elmore, Sr., 72, Kansas City, MO, passed away on May 23, 2019.

James was born August 10, 1946 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late Howard and Sylvia Elmore. In his early 20's, he moved to Missouri, settling in the Northeast area of Kansas City. After several years of running a successful car lot, he began his career with Teamsters Local Union 541, retiring in 2007 after 33 years. In his retirement years he enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren, trips to the park, and to dairy queen for $5 buck meal deals. He loved all his grandchildren and they each held a special place in his heart. Weekends were saved for visits to the casino, driving around the old neighborhood, or hanging out in the garage listening to his favorite country music while reading the newspaper.  Sundays were for cracking open a “cold one” and watching a NASCAR race.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Elmore; brother, Raymond Elmore (Mary Lou); sister Susan Elmore Clenney of Hot Springs, AR; children, Ricky Elmore, Cynthia Elmore-Langer (Randy), Charles Elmore (Clara) of Phoenix, AZ, Marilyn Elmore, Carla Camacho (Chris), James Elmore Jr.;
