Not sure what to say?

What a beautiful soul ! I enjoyed talking to him as much as he did with me his stories about farming and being in the Army . He had a smile that could light up the room ! I so missed seeing him daily when I left my position there may you be in Gods heavenly arms my friend until we meet again !

Jim was my mother's younger brother, but being 13 years older than me, like my older brother. He taught me how to shoot a 22 and hunt rabbits. He taught me how to drive that Farmall A, so I could help with haying. He tried to teach me to milk cows (never did). Most of all he was family. He was there for birthdays, weddings, deer hunting or playing sheepshead. I regret that as I got older and life took me in other directions, I did not get to spend a lot of time together. I am glad...

Thanks Jim, for allowing me the privilege during my high school years of working your farm during the summer, tagging along on a number of mostly unsuccessful autumn deer hunting parties, and just hanging out at the farm for dinner. You and Betty are missed.

Fond memories of Jim (& Betty) from the years that our daughter, Laurie Steenis, was involved with the Broken Wheel Riding Club. A very pleasant smiling man! May your memories of happy times be foremost in your mind as you miss Jim. God bless!

Jim was a wonderful steward for the Village of Sherwood. He loved the community, and the people in it. He was a devout member of the American Legion Post 496 when I worked for the Village Office - he took pride in being the group's liaison with their ongoing functions and outreach efforts with the Village. He always had a smile on his face and had a can-do attitude. He will surely be missed.

Jim was a neighbor of my family growing up in Sherwood. He and Betty were wonderful people. May Jim and Betty rest in peace on the farm in the sky.

Jim was one of the nicest people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. I know he will be very missed by his family and friends! Please accept my deep condolences!
