James Ford Sr

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes, andthere will be no more death or sorrow or cryingor pain. All these are gone forever. And the onesitting on the throne said, “Look, I am makingeverything new!” – Revelations 12:4-5

On Thursday September 19th , James EdwardFord Sr. went home to be with the Lord. Jameswas born June 28, 1938, in Wyatt, Missouri tothe late Henry Ford Sr. and Daisy Ford. He wasthe third of eight children (four brothers andthree sisters).

James accepted the Lord and was baptized atan early age. He married the love of his life, thelate Barbara Nesbitt and they were married for18 years and blessed with seven children –Cynthia, Tania, Tracey, Deirdre, James Jr.,Norman, and Alicia. Many years later, he wasblessed again with three additional children –Brandon, Justin, and Dawn.

James was very charismatic and was a friend toeveryone he met. He had a wonderful way ofdrawing people to him; he was highly respectedand loved. His career included being a proudmember of the US Army retiring after 20+ yearsof service where he was stationed in the US,Korea, Viet Nam, and Germany. He was alsoemployed by a major provider of waterheating/treatment solutions in Milwaukee, WI. Inaddition, he owned a small business whichprovided security services to private businessesand organizations in Atlanta, GA.

He was truly diverse in his hobbies andinterests – whether it was looking for the next“ballgame” on TV, famously claiming to haveseen every Western ever made and cooking upsome good old Southern food. If he reallyenjoyed something, he was known to say ”HaCha Cha”!

James is survived by his siblings – Leslie(Cathy), Daisy, Mary, and John (Kim); his 10children; 19 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

His family members whopredeceased him were his parents, his wife,two brothers – Clyde, Henry Jr., and a sister -Ruth.
