Denny and Family, I am sorry for your loss. I know your heart's are heavy laden but I also know that you have a great peace and comfort of knowing that Gary is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ now and he isn't suffering any longer. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

James “Gary” Fletcher, 79, of Garfield, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at his home. He was born November 7, 1945 in Washburn, Missouri to Dow Edward Fletcher and Ruby Lorene Day Fletcher.
He was a 1963 graduate of Washburn High School and married Donna Jeanne Yockey on October 2, 1964. He did fine woodworking and built their family home as well as homes for many other family members. He enjoyed tending to his home, garden and helping his wife, Donna can and quilt. Gary was devoted to his family and grandchildren, and was very involved in all their lives, participating in youth sports and Boy Scouts. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, loved the Lord and had a strong faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Franklin Fletcher and five siblings, Jimmy Fletcher, Janice Fletcher, Janey Hankins, Elaine Fletcher and Sally Williams.
Gary is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna Jeanne Fletcher; three children, Jay Fletcher (Kim) of Garfield, Marsha Austin (Fred) of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Evelyn Fletcher, of Pineville, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; nine siblings, Lynn Fletcher (Cathy) of Pea Ridge, Denny Fletcher (Judy) of Aurora, Missouri, Norma Morgan of London, Kentucky, Brenda Birchfield (Lloyd), of Cassville, Missouri, Linda Nel of Harrison, Arkansas, Judy Johnson (Keith) of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Doc Fletcher (Danis) of Rogers, Arkansas, Joel Fletcher (Angela) of Galena, Missouri, Cindy Short (Johnny) of London, Kentucky and many extended family and dear friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, Arkansas with Pastor Chad Race officiating and Mike Hankins assisting. Visitation will start at 12:00 noon before the service. Burial will follow at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Cotton, James Cotton, Nate Fletcher, Leland Cotton, Walter Cotton and Noah Contreras.
Honorary pallbearers will be Linda Nel and Stacy Carlson.
