Not sure what to say?

Jim was in the class a year ahead of ours. My memory of him and his family was one of great respect. In later years we connected on Facebook. Jim was wonderful to organize the class reunions for all of us "older" graduates of Sweeny High School. If you followed his Facebook post, you knew how much he loved and valued his family, especially his grands, his friends and his country. You will also know he had a wonderful sense of humor. Jim will be missed. His journey ended too soon for me. His...

We are so sorry to hear this news and for your loss. Jim was an important part of our lives - a friend to me and a mentor to Wes during our time at HBU. We are thankful for his life and the legacy he leaves to his girls, grandchildren, and to everyone his kindness touched. Love, John Wesley (Wes) and Leslie Tyer

Jim was older than us, but well remembered, was instrumental in planning our Class Reunions. God Bless him and his family. He has a God driven Legacy for his family to remember.Gary and Sherry Hughes,Sweeny, Texas. Classes of 64 and 68.

So sorry for your loss. I met Jim at the Sweeny High School class reunion last year and had no idea he was from Pleasanton. My dad's family were farmers in Christine! He was so helpful. I'm glad to have had the chance to know him.

My memory of Jim: Strong religious belief and love of family. Believed in America and friends. If you knew Jim you know all the above plus many many more. Good bye friend. Jim Philp

Jim was a great influence in my life. He gave me my first career opportunity at HBU and I will forever be grateful for his guidance early in my career. He will be missed by many.

Jim has been my best friend since the 4th grade. We talked on the phone occasionally, emailed frequently, and were planning to get together after his hip replacement recovery was complete.
I will miss him very much.
A friend forever
Pat Patterson

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Jim was an all around good guy. He will always be remembered for his efforts to bring many generations of Sweeny together. He will be missed.
