James "Jim"'s Obituary

James Edward “Jim” McClure, Jr., age 74, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his home. He was born September 18, 1944 in Wilkes County to James Edward and Helen Spicer McClure. Jim was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Myers Tire as a mechanic. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. McClure was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving are his wife, Relta Jarvis McClure; son, Jonathan McClure of Winston Salem; his mother, Helen McClure; step son, Bradley Shell of North Wilkesboro; step daughters, April Shell, Cristal Prince and husband Jason all of Wilkesboro; step grandchildren, Amber Myers, Meredith Clawson, Lauren Clawson all of Wilkesboro; sister, Norma Edwards of Mocksville; and brother, Doug McClure and wife Paige of Millers Creek.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Blackburn and Rev. Kevin Souther officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday night. Flowers will be accepted.
