James "Jimbo" Eli Hooper, Sr., 61, of Manchester, died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at his home. A memorial service will be held later.
Mr. Hooper was born July 17, 1955 in Utica, NY, the son of Frederick Floyd Hooper and Elizabeth Ann Hooper. He had worked as a carpenter in the construction industry. Mr. Hooper moved to Manchester seven years ago from Reynolds, GA. He enjoyed life, loved his family especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Hooper was preceded in death by his father, his son, Daniel Heath Hooper and a brother, Frederick Floyd Hooper, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Ann Hooper of Perry, GA; his son, James Hooper, Jr. and his wife, Debra of Manchester; his daughter, Emily Elizabeth Hooper (Kimberly Martin) of London, KY; step-children, Allisa Hooper Wesley and her husband, Cedric of Sommerset, KY andAndrew Hooper of Berea, KY; one sister, Deborah Toller and her husband, John of Warm Springs; three brothers, Lester Hooper and his wife, Donna of Warner Robbins, Donnie Hooper and his wife, Tammy of Pine Mountain Valley, GA, Barry Hooper and his wife, Pam of Warner Robbins; three grandchildren, James Eli Hooper, III, Samual Warren Hoke Hooper and Daniel Heath Hooper, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Norah Hooper and Ryder Wesley.
