James's Obituary

James E. Keeler, 84, a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville passed away September 5, 2015. Mr. Keeler served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was Baptist by faith. James was a retired supervisor with St. Regis Paper Co. working for over 35 years and along with his wife owned and operated Keeler?s Seafood Market at the corner of Tallulah Ave. and Pearl St. for many years. He was an avid golfer and played for many years making friends along the way. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Wilda (Hartley) Keeler; daughter, Cynthia Ziahal (Peter); son James E. Keeler Jr.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2PM Friday September 11, 2015 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home 4747 Main St., Jacksonville, 32206 with Rev. Herb Phnazee officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery (Gate #6) with military honors provided by the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
