James wife of 53 years Janet Lee (Helie) Lucey passed away in March of 2015; He is survived by his daughter Deborah M. Ruffo and her husband John in California and a son, James R. Lucey of Millbury; two sisters, Marie Newcomb of Holden, Margaret Dudevoir and her husband Gerald of Rochester, Mass; five grandchildren, Sophia, Angelo and Juliana Ruffo, Austin and Ashley Lucey; Nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, his parents were the late, Thomas R. and Ethel M. (Henry) Lucey; James worked in the maintenance department of David Clark Company, the former White & Bagley Company and the Girls Club all in Worcester.
James was very active; He loved to walk everywhere, fish, camp, play board games, puzzles and reading the newspaper cover to cover. James was a workaholic, but always made time for his children and being with them.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23rd at 2:00pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A period of calling hours will be held from 1 pm to 2 pm prior to the service. The family request that flowers be omitted.
