I will miss my dear friend. I know you are at peace and no more pain. My condolences to the family.

I have been friends with James for over forty years. We fished together, worked together on part time job. We attended Hirschi football games. He is a good friend that I will miss. RIP!

Rest in Peace Jim. Enjoyed working with you in Thailand and at Sheppard. You are now free from pain.

James's Obituary

James Michael Manucy, 74, of Wichita Falls passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024.

The family will receive friends between 3 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the funeral home with Mr. Tim Holley, officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

James was born on March 24, 1950 to the late Leslie G. Jr. and Naomi Elizabeth (Reinert) Manucy in Norfolk, Virginia. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the military, James worked in Civil Service with the I.T. department. James was known for being ornery and stubborn at times but really, he was very generous, and he loved his family and friends. He will be missed by many.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, George Manucy; sister, Diane Bodden; and a nephew, Kenneth Reynolds.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Koon (Nang) Manucy; son, Dong Manucy; daughter, Linda Hanson; grandson, Alex Hanson; granddaughter, Kaity Norriss and husband, Riker; also survived by his brother, Les Manucy and wife, Judy; three sisters, Carol Laasch, Billie Jo Donn and Donna Peavy; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends; and a very spoiled puppy dog, Bandit A. Hanson.
