I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We were both members of the Morton Arboretum Photographic Society. I enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed.

I first met Jim in the 1990’s and was able to work with him for the next 20 or so years until his retirement. He was a mentor who was always willing to share his knowledge. More importantly he was a friend. Whenever I was visiting Argonne we would try and do a sporting event. Cubs, Blackhawks, Bulls, and even the Wolves. When we traveled overseas, Jim always had camera in hand to take some interesting photographs. Jim will be missed but he left us many good memories. Condolences to his...

Growing up in Forest City with my friend Jim was something that I have cherished and remembered all my life. We played baseball and basketball together and in 1955 I hit my first golf ball with Jim. During high school Jim tutored me in algebra, trigonometry, and just about anything dealing with physics. The Class of 1960 honored Jim in so many ways and his service to our country will not be forgotten. May God bless Jim and my condolences to the family.

Janet, Yvonne, and Ryan, Jim was a fantastic and intelligent person all of our time in high school. He was a friend to everyone he met. His kindness was always recognized and appreciated. And he continued those qualities throughout his life. He will certainly be missed by you all and by everyone else who ever knew him. And our country has lost a true patriot who spent his life making it better for all to live. Please take some comfort in knowing that he is resting at peace with Our Lord.
