JAMES McILWEE

I’m sorry to hear of James McIlwee’s passing. James and Mary Anne were friends of my parents, brought together by Irish dancing, meeting at a feis where their daughters were competing. My mother, Eileen McIlwee, was thrilled to meet another family of the same name and—although we lived outside of Chicago—we kept in touch over several years. Another great Irishman lost! My love to Pat and his sisters during this time of grief.

Jim and Mary Anne were such dear people. I know they are filling Heaven with their joy and laughter. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry for your loss. Your parents raised nice children and your Dad's singing at Mass always made my day!

Sending our heartfelt sympathies to the entire family of James. What a wonderful man he was and we are all so honored to have had the privilege of knowing Papa McIlwee. The memories of him singing at the dinner table while telling us stories will continue to put a smile on my face. He will always be in our hearts.
