James's Obituaries

Mr. James O. "Jimmy" Moudy, Jr., 90, of Hattiesburg, died May 17, 2016, at Forrest General Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. until the service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.Mr. Moudy was a salesman for Rice Potato Chips for 40 years, retiring in 1981 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Jaycees, the VFW and VFW Honor Guard. He was also a member of the Elks Club for 60 years and served as King of Elks XIII of the Krewe of Elks in 1979. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Libby Moudy of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Sherry Johnson of Hattiesburg and Suzanne Simmons of Blairsville GA; two sons Bobby Moudy and Ricky Moudy, both of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Polly Weaver of Hattiesburg and Betty Jo Macias of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
