James H. Oeste, 87, formerly of Blue Bell, passed away at Meadowood Senior Living in Worcester on May 1, 2017. He and his wife, Elaine (DiFulvio) Oeste, would have observed their 63rd wedding anniversary on September 25th of this year.
Born in Atlantic City, NJ, he was a son of the late Irvin F. and Julia (Colston) Oeste and was a U. S. Army veteran. He spent many years as a well-respected homebuilder and was passionate about his work.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Oeste is survived by a daughter, Patricia Hannifan and her husband, Kevin, of New Hope; two sons, James H. Oeste, Jr. and his wife, Kris, of Kennett Square, and John C. Oeste and his wife, P.J.; a brother, Russell B. Oeste and his wife, Paula; and eight grandchildren, Christopher, Thomas, Laura, James III, Katy, Julie, Cole and Mary. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerome I. and William M. Oeste.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 11AM on Fri. May 5, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, where family will receive friends from 10-10:45AM. Burial will follow privately at Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Brothers of Charity, 7720 Doe Lane, Laverock, PA 19038. Arrangements are by R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. of Skippack.
