James Vernon Petersen, Jr.

James Vernon Petersen, Jr., 55, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. He was a life long resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming.He was born on December 9, 2013 in Rock Springs, Wyoming, the son of James Vernon Petersen, Sr. and Betty Jane Strong Petersen. Mr. Petersen attended schools in Rock Springs, Wyoming and was a 1976 graduate of the Rock Springs High School and also attended University of Wyoming and received a Bachelor's Degree in Education. His interests included reading and enjoyed art, literature, history, geography and geology.Survivors include his father James Vernon Petersen, Sr. of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one brother Von Charles Petersen of New York, New York; his niece Centa Petersen of San Francisco, California; several aunts, uncles, cousins.He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jane Petersen.Cremation will take place and there will be no services at his request.
