We remember JP being so welcoming and fun on our trips to visit Brandy and Jason. Jeff and I are very sorry for your loss and hope that memories will warm your hearts.

It was a joy to work with JP at Flowserve My heart is broken for his family. You all are in our thoughts.

So sorry to hear of JP’s passing I enjoyed working with with him and learned a lot from him. He always had time to help. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time

JP Puryear was my friend and teammate. We shed tears, blood, and sweat on the gridiron, basketball court, and baseball field. They called us the dynamic duo their words not ours. Thunder and Lightning, 50 and 55. Teams hated to see them numbers on the field. We didn't see each other a lot over the years but when we did it was like we saw each other the day before. JP football glory fails to compare to what kind of man he became. An exceptional son, loving husband and a devoted father. I have...

I’m absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of my highschool classmate, friend, teammate and brother. I would like to extend my deepest of condolences to the Puryear family and all those who came in contact with or who’s life was impacted by this great person. Thanks for all the memories on the all baseball diamonds and football fields during our time playing at WC!! God has truly gained another angel!!! Fly high #50!!!

I worked with JP, Jesse and Turtle. JP always seemed to be smiling, I know Flowserve will not be the same without him. My heartfelt sympathy to the Puryear family.

The Flowserve family has an empty space that can't be filled. I worked with "P" for 20+ years and his greeting was always a smile. We should never ask "why" JP had to leave but know that God must have needed another Angel. My condolences to the family and know that God is with you during this time of sorrow.
