James ?Hootie? Rawson, 66, of Desloge, passed away August 27, 2015 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was born August 6, 1949, in Bonne Terre, to the late Everette and Anna (Marler) Rawson. Jim was a member of the local #1795, he loved fishing, hunting, and most of all, his family. James lived by his rule #1 and expected everyone else to too. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ivan and sister, LaVern.Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Deborah (Payne) Rawson; son, Jimbo and wife Lisa; daughters, Kim (Mrs. Stan) Hoff, and Julie (Mrs. Jason) Short; nine grandchildren, Krista Johnson, A. J. (Sam) Rawson, Brittany (Nick) Sipp, Chelsey (fiancé Trey) Short, Austin Short, and Willie Hoff; the loves of his life, great-grandchildren, Elliana, Brady, Aubrey, Bruce, Levi, and one on the way; brothers, Dicky, Red, and Clyde Rawson; sister, Patsy Radford; special friend, Gary Mills; fishing buddy and brother in-law, Button Gibson; several in-laws, nieces and nephews, and his Briarwood friends.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 6:00 PM to service time at 7:00 PM. Memorials may be directed to the Mineral Area Elks Veteran?s Committee.
