Mr. James Edward "Bill" Redmon, age 63, of Dobson, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1952 in Wilkes County to Edward Lee and Alice Padgett Redmon. Mr. Redmon was a US Army and US Army National Guard Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lynn Harris. Surviving are two sons, Larry Keith Redmon of Moravian Falls, James Edward Redmon II and wife Tiffany of Huntersville; two brothers, Seth Redmon and wife Amanda of Durham, John Henry Redmon and wife Josephine of Moravian Falls; three sisters, Alice Marie Crowder and husband Bill of Fayetteville, Alline Cropps and husband Willie of Dobson, Kathy Prince and husband Ralph of Wilkesboro; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.Memorial service will be held 2:00 o'clock Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard Watts, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock on Saturday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army Food and Nutrition Program, 651 S. South Street, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
