James W. Riker, 92, of Dunwoody Village, Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025.Born on September 11, 1933, in Rockville Center, NY, he was the son of the late Rodney and Muriel Wood Riker. He was also predeceased by his brother, Rodney Riker Jr.Jim graduated from Bucknell University in 1956, where he proudly earned a varsity letter in Track and Field. He went on to build a long and successful career as the Regional Manager of the New York City branch office of the Foxboro Instrument Company, retiring after decades of dedicated service.A devoted family man, Jim is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Frances (née Troge); his daughters Kathy Niness (Sam) and Christine Hammarskjold (Christian); his cherished grandchildren Ashley Morgan (Matt), Carly Carson (Glenn), Victoria Lemmon (B.G.), and Alexandra Rieger (Connor); and seven beloved great-grandchildren.Jim was a longtime member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church of Valley Forge, PA, where his faith was an important part of his life. He enjoyed sailing and golf and was a former member of Hershey Mills Country Club.
