Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful human being, Jim Rose. We were good friends through his years at Swire and he visited us in NE Washington after he and Joyce retired. We will miss him dearly. Our love to Joyce and his family. Love, Don & Robin Harina (he called me Scoop! ♥)

Jim, we love you and are so grateful to have had you in our life & part of this journey. We have great memories and stories and laughs. We will cherish forever. I am so grateful to have been able to work for you and also be your friend. All our love, The Browns.

James's Obituary

James Michael Rose was born on July 3rd, 1944, in Salt Lake City, UT to James Roy Rose and Elma Jones Rose Duvall.  Sadly, he passed away on May 18th, 2025.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Richens Rose and their three children Michael (Tracy), Tammy (Russ), Kris (Melissa), 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and his sister Jackie Goodrich.

Dad married his best friend and the love of his life Joyce on November 3, 1961.  They enjoyed 63 wonderful years together. He dedicated 43 years of his life to Swire Coca Cola before retiring in 2008.

In his early years he was a member of the Magna Mountain Riders and spent time horseback riding.  He loved to waterski and go for long rides on his motorcycle Old Blue.  His love of hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and riding his Kawasaki side by side were some of his favorite past times.  He was never afraid to try something new, always looking forward to the next great adventure. His personality and sense of humor made him the life of the party. He made an everlasting impression on everyone he met. He always made everyone feel special.

More than anything he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.  He was our role model, mentor and our best friend. An inspiration to everyone.  We always felt loved and were truly blessed to have a husband and father as wonderful as he was.  His character, his guidance and protection were truly admirable. He always put his family first. He supported every one of us in all phases of life. He always took the time to listen and give us guidance and provide advice.  He taught us to appreciate the beauty in everything and emphasized resilience and the importance of family and sticking together. No matter the circumstances in life, there is always something to learn.

Our hearts are broken -- He may be gone but will never be forgotten.

We want to thank Cascade Springs and their team for the wonderful care they provided to dad.  Jennie, Ivan and Jessica were truly amazing. Their support and dedication will never be forgotten. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

A viewing will be held at Broomhead Funeral Home, located at 12590 S. 2200 W. Riverton, UT on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
