Not sure what to say?

Russ was the best of the best. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and did so with quality care. Those that were lucky to know you Russ will miss you dearly. RIP friend. See ya one day on the Far Side. Harry Marra

I still vividly recall the day Russ informed us of his decision to transfer out of Villanova. It was a moment of sadness, as we realized we were losing a great friend from our team. His absence was deeply felt, but fortunately, we were able to reconnect a few times in recent years at the Penn Relays gatherings.

Russ was a truly remarkable person. He was incredibly kind and sincere, and his passion for our sport was infectious.

My sincerest condolences to Jeannie and family.

I knew Russ only briefly during 4th grade at St. Peter’s grade school. He was the ‘other’ Russell in the-. Sadly, I lost track of him through the years but he left a lasting impression on me at that time. I did see him again at a Saratoga HS joint years 71/72 reunion.
He lived a very impressive life ( well done Russ!).My condolences to all who knew him well

My sincerest condolences to Jeannie and family. Dr Ebbets has been influential throughout my life as a coach and doctor. So many tools I have used in my sports chiropractic office have been an influence from Dr Ebbets. Eternal gratitude to a great teacher, coach, and doctor!

Dearest Jeannie, I’m sorry I could not attend the wake tonight. This afternoon I had dental surgery. A little too swollen for public. Sending love & prayersto bless u & your families. Without a doubt Russ is very proud u.

" The Duce" I still remember him yelling LIFT and DRIVE.
He helped coach my son, Josh, to be the 2011 NYSHS 600m champion, beating both the former NYS champion and the then current national record holder.
No one will ever fill his shoes.
A writer, coach and teacher.
I love you man.

I had the pleasure of taking Dr. Ebbets classes at NYCC. He was a great instructor passionate about teaching. We kept in touch over the years where we updated each other on life. I was saddened to hear he was sick. He was a great person that will be greatly missed!!

Sending my deepest condolences to all of Dr. Ebbetts friends, family and former students. Have such great memories of the classes that he taught at NYCC, and also working the races as a chiropractic intern. He had such a profound impact on my career. Reading his obituary, what a life he lived and all that he accomplished!

My deepest condolences and sympathies to the family. I was lucky enough to have been a student of Dr. Ebbets. Such a wonderful man, teacher and mentor. Very saddened to hear of his passing. I often am reminded of his words, energy and enthusiasm that he instilled on us during our program. May his memory be a blessing. His impact will always be remembered. Eric
