James Earl “Jim” Scott JR, 63, of Stone, KY, passed away Tuesday March 11, 2025. Jim was born December 25, 1961, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late James Earl Scott and Lola Slone Scott. Jim was also preceded in death by one sister, Janet Scott Caudell and his stepdaughter, Tori Jones. Jim was a graduate of Belfry High School class of 1980, and a electrician in the coal mines.Jim's survivors include his loving wife, Tammi Scott of Stone, KY; sister, Judith (Greg) Bell of Lexington, KY; son, Zachary (Angel) Scott of PA; stepson, Justin (Angie) Jones of Huntington, WV; grandson, Andrew; step grandchildren, Gavin, Gus, Stephen, Wally, and Maggie; step great grandchild, Ryatt; nieces, Lisa (David) Strunk of Lexington, KY, Shelly (Jeremy) Selof of McHenry, IL; nephews, Scotty Bell and Todd R. Young both of Richmond, KY, and a host of other loving family and friends.Jim's visitation will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 6-9 PM in the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow on Friday, March 14th beginning at 3 PM in the chapel with James Justice Officiating. R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY, is serving the Scott family.
