Jim & Myrna are the best great grandparents to Bladen, my youngest son. My condolences to their family!!

Jim was always kind to me, allowing me to hang around with Tim at their Bowman Woods home. They included me in lots of activities and it's something I'll always appreciate... Harry Douglas

Jim was a great neighbor, hunting & fishing buddy and mentor. He was always positive and kind, he was just a great man to be around. My deepest condolences, prayers and strength to Myrna, Lori, Tim and their families.

The moment I saw his name, I recognized him with a smile. I worked with Jim at Allen's, and remember him as the perfect gentleman, a dashing dresser (yes! dashing!!), a man who always treated me with respect and kindness, and a man with a gentle laugh. He was a gentleman who was dedicated to everything he held dear! I worked with Jim with Gibson REALTORS. What a great guy. I don't think anyone could ever say anything bad about Jim. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

 James Alan Shetterly, 91, passed away peacefully after a short illness on July 21st, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.  Private graveside services will be held at the Veteran's Cemetery in Adel, IA in the coming months, honoring Jim's military service and his love for his country....
