I didn't know him but I knew his wife and she is such an amazing women so I am sure he was just as amazing. May you rest in peace with your daughter in Heaven!!

I never actually met you in person James but from the stories I was told by your friends and family I could tell that you loved your family and didn't know a stranger. Rest in ☮ friend and fly high.

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked with him at UCONCO for many years. He always had a smile ready.

James's Obituary

  James D. “Mad Man” Spaulding, age 56, of Northwood, OH, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 25, 1961 to Gerald Caruso and Ruth Spaulding. A graduate of Whitmer High School, James was a heavy equipment operator for Uconco Manufacturing for 16 years, retiring in 2001. He also worked in “Hot Shot Maintenance” for Davis Bessie. James was a “Jack-of-all trades” who enjoyed model making and restoring classic cars. A loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, he will be dearly missed.

  James is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Maureen (Spain) Spaulding; son, Daryl Spaulding; mother, Ruth Sroczynski; sister, Gloria (Dave) Spaulding-Case; brother, Matthew (Charlene) Spaulding; and father and mother-in-law, Duane and Carol Spain. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald; sister, Julia Spaulding; and daughter, Beth Spaulding-Risenburg.

Visitation will be Friday from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy Rands presiding. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Donations to the family will be gratefully accepted.
