James David Stepp Sr.

James David Stepp Sr., 73, of Turkey Creek, Ky, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at the Pikeville Medical Center.He was born August 10, 1947 at Turkey Creek, KY, the son of the late Mont Stepp and Mary "Tootsie" Staton Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Cline Stepp and one brother, Neil Stepp. He was retired from Banks Miller Supply and a Deacon at the Turkey Creek Freewill Baptist Church.Survivors include his children, James David (Shelle) Stepp Jr. of Georgetown, KY, Christy (Mike) Casey of Williamson, WV, Misty McCoy of Turkey Creek, KY, and step-daughter, Kim (Allen) Weddington of South Williamson, KY; one sister, Barbara Stepp of South Williamson, KY; grandchildren, Jessica Stepp, Chase Stepp, Breann Stepp, Brayden Stepp, Harper Stepp, Shawn Robinette, Whitney Helton, Caylea McCoy, Fallon Weddington and Taylor Weddington; one great grandchild, Bentley Helton; a ver special cousin, Gary Stepp of Alabama and a host of other loving family and friends.Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2020, at 11 AM at the Turkey Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Mikey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Stepp Cemetery, Hatfield, KY, with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 - 9 PM Thursday at the Church. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry is serving the Stepp family.
