James's Obituary

James Alfred ?Jay? Stull, Jr.Jim was born June 1, 1957 in Burlington, WA to James Sr. and Irene Stull; he passed away peacefully May 7, 2013 at his home in Burlington with his wife and kids by his side. Jay attended Mount Vernon High School, following that he started his career at Bill Bailey Tires and was employed for over 27 years. He was a work-a-holic but he also loved to fish and hunt. He was a chair of the Skagit County Longboard association enjoying the sport of shuffleboard. After being diagnosed with cancer he spent many hours volunteering with various cancer fund raising organizations. He was an AVID Seahawks fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Thomas Stripling, Victor Stull and Roger Stull. He is survived by his wife, Marni; children: Felicia Boetteger, Tressa Lombardo, James Alfred Stull III, Justin Stull, Breezy Hurley, Gunner Hurley; grandchildren: Vivian, Clarence, Summer Lynn, Tiana, Cobie and Manny; brother: John and Edward Stripling and step-father and best friend: Benjamin Hurt; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of Jim?s life will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013, 4:00 pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home with a reception to follow in the Hawthorne Reception Room.
