Mr. James Tyson, Sr., 89, of Kountze, Texas passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 in Kountze, Texas.
The Celebration Service for Mr. Tyson will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Kountze Church of Christ (1035 North Pine Street - Kountze, Texas 77625) with burial Service to follow at Trinity Valley Cemetery in Kountze, Texas. under the directions of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. A Public Viewing will be held for Mr. Tyson on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Church. For your safety, social distancing and facial masks are recommended.

James Tyson, Sr., 89, of Kountze, Texas, transitioned peacefully from earth to glory on Monday, January 22, 2024 in Kountze, Texas.
He was born on October 5, 1934, in Seven Oaks, Texas to the late Charlie Tyson, Sr. and Inell Tyson. James Began and early work career in the logging industry that extended for a total of thirty-five years of service. He mastered and honed his craft of being a Flat Header (Log Cutter) until his retirement.He was a life long and proud member of the Church of Christ
James Leaves to cherish his memories his brother, Charlie Tyson, Jr.; five children, Therease Watts (Clifford) of Kountze, Texas, Lisa Mack (Richard) of Beaumont Texas; Donna Mack (Timothy) of Beaumont Texas; Marlon Tyson and James Tyson, Jr. both of Kountze, Texas; Also, cherishing his memories are his extended children, Ronald Manning of Beaumont, Texas, Linda West of Kountze, Texas, Anthony Manning, Sr. of Beaumont Texas and Jeanette Manning of Kountze, Texas; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends
