James's Obituary
James H. Veach Jr., 82, of Poughkeepsie and a former Pleasant Valley resident, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Lutheran Care Center.Born in Poughkeepsie on December 19, 1927, he was the son of James H. Veach Sr. and Alice White.Mr Veach served in the US Navy from 1946 – 1948 and from 1948 – 1953 served with the US Navy Reserves.James was employed by the US Postal Service as a letter carrier for many years. After his retirement he volunteered at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.James is survived by several cousins.Visitation will be Monday 10am – 1pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley.
