James Edward Warlick, aged 90, passed away peacefully at his residence in Conway on the morning of February 4, 2026, after a period of declining health. Born on September 26, 1935, in Lincolnton, North Carolina, he was the son of the late John Warlick and Lottie Ferguson Warlick. James was a retired truck driver, known for his dedication to his work and his family. He was a devoted husband to the late Maxine Ledbetter Warlick, a loving father, and a caring grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Deborah Davis and Robert Warlick, both of Conway; his grandchildren, Kristen Moore and her husband Steven of Durham, NC, and Eric Davis and his wife Nataliya of Leland, NC; and his great-grandchildren, Hannah, Steven, and Ryan Moore of Durham, and Delilah Davis of Leland. James was predeceased by his brother, Paul Warlick.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 8, at 2:00 P.M. in the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville, North Carolina, under the direction of Cox-Collins Funeral Home. The family will be available to speak with attendees following the service at the cemetery.
