James H. Willis
Frankenmuth, MI; Formerly of Caro, MI
Passed away peacefully with family by his side Friday, January 30, 2026 at his home; age 88 years. Jim was born on January 30, 1938 in Dearborn, MI to the late James L. and Margaret Willis. He was married to Joanne Parsons on January 7, 1978 at Bridgeport Community Church; she survives him.
Jim was employed by Saginaw Steering Gear as a Senior Analyst Engineer. He then started and ran Willis Automotive Analysis until 2012. He was a member of Society of Automotive Engineers and belonged to Delta Four Wheelers. He was a second amendment advocate. Jim was a Boy Scout leader for his sons and was President of the Summergreen Condo Association where his mother lived. He was a Saginaw Aux policeman for several years.
Surviving besides his wife Joanne are: three sons, James L. (Carol) Willis, Jack C. (Deb) Willis, and Jeffrey S. Willis; grandchildren Carlee (Jesse) Pierce, Haley Willis, Christopher (Joell) Willis, Stephen Willis, Amber (Darren) Helencek, William Willis, Danielle Willis, and Kyle Willis; great-grandchildren Lincoln James Peltier, Huxlee Pierce, CJ Willis, Hannah Licht, and Trenton Wilson.
Cremation has taken place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Frankenmuth Wickson District Library.
