Awe James. How sad I was to wake up to hear you were gone! What great memories we shared! My best friend from the time I met you in my 20’s and although our lives got busy and we didn’t always see each other we both knew we loved each other! Always sweet caring kind and would do anything for anyone! You will be missed and never forgotten!

Jamie's Obituary

Jamie Ann Stinnett Mitchell, age 50, wife of Tony Mitchell, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025.  Jamie was born October 9, 1974, in Harrodsburg, KY to James Nelson Stinnett and the late Rita Ann Burgin Stinnett.

Jamie cared deeply about her family and her faith. Her husband Tony said prayer was very important to her and she prayed every day for her family. She was a compassionate person who was eager to help and give to others. Jamie held positions at a UK HealthCare clinic in the medical records department and at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in accounts payable, among other positions. She also attended Sullivan University where she studied office administration.

Including her mother, Jamie was preceded in death by a mother-in-law Brenda Joyce Owens Mitchell.

Along with her father, James Nelson Stinnett, Jamie is survived by her husband, Tony Mitchell; a daughter, Amber Mitchell, and son Trenton Mitchell; a sister Amanda Stinnett; a niece, Skylar Hayes; her father-in-law, Myron Mitchell; a sister-in-law Tina Sagrecy; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 11 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home and Friday, September 12, from 11 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Bro. Bart Price will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, KY.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Matthew Downs, Scott Sagrecy, Clark Riley, Tommy Hart, Trenton Mitchell, Treavor Sagrecy, Jacob Hart, and David Burns.
