Jamie Scott Mounce, 44, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 26, 1974, son of Debra Anderson Mounce and William "Bill" Mounce & (Marsha Mounce) of Eubank.
He was an employee of Gatormade in Somerset and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Eubank. He enjoyed farming, selling trailers, fishing and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Johnson Mounce, whom he married on May 26, 2017. He is also survived by his daughter, Ashlee Mounce of Eubank; step daughter, Chelsea Smith; two step sons, Matthew and Jacob Smith; two step grandsons, Connor Works and Tanner Smith, all of Somerset; one brother, Brad & (Mary Kay) Mounce of Science Hill; step brother, Chris & (Jenny) Blankenship of Somerset; step sister, Jennifer & (Kenneth) Ashley of Somerset; special niece, Katee Beth Mounce and two special nephews, Cooper and Camden Mounce all of Science Hill. He had several special aunts and uncles, Allen & (Patti) Anderson of Eubank; Charlie Mounce of Somerset, Sue Bullock of Somerset and Eulene Rader of Burnside; father and mother-in-law, Lemar and Mary Johnson of Jabez; sisters-in-law, Alena & (Michael) Morrow of Nancy, Selina & (Royce) McGowan of Nancy, Evetta & (Jimmy) Thompson of Nancy; brothers-in-law, Shelby & (Karla) Johnson of Nancy and Thomas & (Danielle) Johnson of Lexington; cousins, Jon and Josh Anderson and Barry and Brenda Bullock, with a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Ina Mounce and maternal grandparents, Ed and Glenda Anderson.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Shannon officiating.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Eden Cemetery in Somerset. Pallbearers will be Brad Mounce, Jon Anderson, Josh Anderson, Barry Bullock, David Reynolds, Allen Anderson, Chris Gholson and Jeff Loveless. Honorary pallbearers are Cooper and Camden Mounce, Bill Estep, Ernie Alexander, Matthew Smith, Jacob Smith, Alex Price, Dennis Price, Neal Johnson and Steve Blankenship.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
