Jan Hammann (nee Simpson), 78, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 11, 2025. She was born March 15, 1947, to the late Florence (nee Utz) and Delmar Simpson in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jan was the beloved wife of Ed Hammann for 58 years; loving mother of Heather (David) LaMarca, Jason (Lynn) Hammann, and Jill Katterjohn; and cherished grandmother of Nate Hammann, Brooke Katterjohn, and Paige Katterjohn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving siblings: William Simpson and Julia (Richard) Weiler. Jan is also survived by dear sister-in-law, Marilyn Simpson.
Visitation in her honor will be Monday, July 21st from 8:30am-9:30am at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 5527 Cheviot Rd. (45247), followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Bernard Church (Taylor Creek), 7130 Harrison Ave. (45247). Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in Jan’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (contribute online by following this link).
